Cue Fanfare combine a shared love of taut melody, and a heady mix of woven chiming guitars with a pop sensibility.

"Unusual chord sequences, and quickfire changes in rhythm and mood called to mind classy, quirky pop made by the likes of Prefab Sprout, Orange Juice and more recently Guillemots. But while Cue Fanfare's music is inventive, it doesn't get too clever and never stops being easy on the ear. Ghost Ships and Murder Mystery cruised along effortlessly as the component parts of the band locked together. All four musicians were clearly enjoying the show, and their enthusiasm was shared by an appreciative crowd."
